You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. Introduce Unconditional Basic Income (UBI) in the UK. Replace Welfare.

Let's move a step into the future. A step that would make our world a better place and solve a lot of problems like homelessness, hunger, minimum wage and employee strikes.

Introducing a (UBI) Unconditional Basic Income allows each and every UK citizen to receive a sum amount of money that allows you to live with the bare minimum without the need to go through tests of legibility.

It would become a human right to receive enough money to live on.

    How nice would that be?

We all know how unfairly treated the citizens of the United Kingdom are by…

    • Politicians to confront the paedophilia within the establishment.

It's the huge elephant in the room. Ignored by both politicians and generally society at large. We need to stop turning a blind eye to it. Children have no voice. Children are our future. Children are being preyed upon by members of Parliament the judiciary the police social services and royalty.
There is no way that if you work within the Commons or House of Lords that you haven't heard the rumours of fellow colleagues. It's time Parliament dealt with this head on and confront its dark secrets.
Or are we to wait for the deaths of those guilty before…

        • Stopping the slaughter for halal meat of animals and poultry without them first being stunned.

I understand from the RSPCA that this is illegal yet thousands of animals and birds are being killed daily in this way, as was shown on BBC program Countryfile 2 weeks ago. These animals have their throats cut and bleed to death all in the name of religion.

          • Stop witholding free health care to British expats returning to their own country. Our pensioners have paid their dues in the past -

There must be Free health care for pensioners whether they have been living abroad or not. They are British citizens. They are saving the country money while being retired abroad - no pension credit, no housing benefit etc. This 3 or 6 month rule should be abolished immediately. This rule states that British expats will not receive free health care from NHS should they return to live in UK Also Pensioners retired in Thailand have their pension frozen. There is no reason for this either and it should be stopped.

How can these cover ups, injunctions, exist in our country, is our country so currupt that money can buy anything, can powerful, and/or the rich remain above law and morality.

              • Health Freedom

A series of laws are being passed through the EU which severely limit our health freedoms, both freedom of choice and freedom of speech.

By next year, it will be illegal to sell the vast majority of seeds, supplements, and herbs that are currently on the market. It will also be illegal to talk about the potential benefits of any but a tiny percentage of health foods.

Herbs were outlawed in 2011; there has been a grace period which is about to be withdrawn in Dec 2012. There is a statutory register but there are only around 100 herbs that…

                • Save our Ancient Woodlands from the Axe

The Government now wants to allow statutorily protected Ancient Woodland to be cut down by developers if they offer suitable sites elsewhere as new woodland sites, a process known as off setting. The Government would like to see this process made compulsory. However, you cannot replace woodlands that have been around for hundreds or thousands of years just like that. These ancient woodlands are already scarce environments in England. They provide valuable havens for endangered plant and animal species, as well as archaeological and historic sites, and they are part of our natural landscape heritage. They are also fragile habitats,…

                  • Refounding Democracy

There are some really good moves going on at the moment to force Westminster to be democratic. To allow us to call bi-elections when we don't trust our MP for example. However if we are successful we actually won't have achieved anything. The people who actually control what affects us at the household and street and town level are the civil servants.

This week a leak from Whitehall revealed that, entirely as Yes Minister! once showed us, the department heads are recruited specifically to resist minster intervention in policy! There is no accountability here and with MP's only lasting 5…

                    • enforcement of minumum wage

The illegal practice of paying less than the statutory minimum wage is becoming more wide-spread because employers are aware that at present the probability of a prosecution is almost vanishingly small. We need to campaign on behalf of these vulnerable people, who cannot campaign for themselves
The government needs to employ enough people to inspect and enforce the law on minumum wage.
In July 8 2014 the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) published a report on low-skilled migration. [see https://www.gov.uk/government/news/migration-advisory-committee-mac-publishes-report-on-low-skilled-migration ]. In it, referring to vulnerable low paid workers, Professor Sir David Metcalf CBE said, "There is incomplete compliance with and…

                      • Saving The Deanes School in Benfleet Essex.

Essex County Council started consultations on May 23rd 2013 to close a secondary school in Thundersley Essex rated as a "Good school with outstanding features" by OFSTED. This is a constructive closure by Councillor Gooding The Cabinet Member of Education and Lifelong Learning. His consultation is flawed and has been recommended by his own Scrutiny Commitee that "there is insufficient evidence" to close the school. Yet he ignores his own council and presses ahead with the closure. Rebecca Harris MP is fully opposed to the closure as is the local Castle Point Borough Councillors and the neighbouring Southend Unity Council…

Please e-mail your MP and tell them that it is not acceptable for HMRC to have their sticky hands in our bank accounts for any reason whatsoever! Once this sort of power is invested in to the hands of civil servants they will find any reason they can to use it and to increase their powers. We've seen it so many times with Health & Safety for example! NO FINGERS IN OUR PIGGY BANKS HMRC!

                          • Supporting Young Entrants in to Farming

As its the International Year of Family Farming we'd like to start the debate on how new families can get in to farming and make our communities more resilient for producing food. At the moment so many of us are so reliant on the supermarkets distribution systems and what farms or traders they buy from. Do we want to continue to be reliant on these retail giants? Do we care how our food is produced and what it contains? If you want to support another way of food production and delivery please checkout www.crowdfunder.co.uk/chagfarm

                            • ATOS - Unfit for 2014 Commonwealth Games

Atos are employed by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to carry out assessments on sick and disabled people. As widely reported in the mainstream media, more than 2,200 people have died before the the 'fit for work' assesment has been completed. Meanwhile, tens of thousands of sick and disabled people have had their Social Security Benefit removed, reducing them to penury and extreme poverty.

Atos have been chosen as a major sponsor of the Commonwealth Games 2014. We say that ATOS is not fit to be a sponsor and therefore call on the Glasgow 2014 Ltd Organising Committee…

Stop them turning Summer Bank Holiday into MARGRET THATCHER DAY. This is so wrong. It was traditionally the rest day for workers in heavy industry and farm labourers. • stopping the introduction of water cannon for use by police on mainland Britain

Boris Johnson is planning to introduce water cannon for use by the London Met by summer 2014. Theresa May has said that in principle she is not opposed to their use. There is a large possibility they will be used against those who are exercising their democratic right to protest peacefully. (The Met does not have a good record on kettling for example. How can we be sure the use of water cannon won't be abused?)

If water cannon arrive in London, it is only a matter of time before they spread across the nation.

                                    • if u got a dog u get right of way

on pavement people don't get out ur way when I walk my pedigree dog and it means that sometimes it can be dangerous cos they mite trip over the dog lead so make it law that wen u see someone with a dog coming u must stand aside and let them past and ur not allowed to move until safe, this will s[peed up dog walking and make it safer in general for everyone. also make it law that if ur in a rush u don't have to pick up the dog poop and make it law that u cant…

                                      • Iain Duncan-Smith should be charged with Corporate Manslaughter

The freedom of Information act should be used to calculate the number of victims of Iain Duncan-Smith and ATOS.
Iain Duncan-Smith should be put on Trial charged with Corporate Manslaughter, face the consequences, and be banned from Public Office for Life.

                                        • Human Right to have time to Grieve - Heartless Councils evicting people after death of loved ones

Councils across the UK are using housing law (rights of succession and over occupancy) to evict people and in many cases make them homeless with 28 day notice even when someone has just died.
One council gives six months and says they will look for alternative
accommodation. Why aren't others doing the same? A friend of mine who has mental health issues has just lost his mother to lung and brain cancer and has been sent a form two days after the funeral to leave a property he has been in all his life for 51 yrs in 28 days. …
