I suggest a campaign about ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

    • 2015 General Election

The party political system has a very important role to play in our country and it needs to remain a strong force in UK politics.
      But
The UK political system requires the injection of a moderating force that directly expresses the true will of the British people in Parliament in an enforceable way (100 seats).
If this were the case now would the NHS reforms have reached the point of imminent Royal ascent?
Can it be achieved? I believe that it can but only for the 2015 general election and only if the work of some very bright and motivated…

      • Capitalism with integrity

Let's start a campaign that encourages business leaders with integrity to speak out and start leading from the front on changing the way that business is done. There are already examples - Bill Gates of Microsoft, Guy Watson of Riverford, Terry Smith of Tullett Prebon. They recogise that it is not capitalism itself that is wrong - but that we have allowed it to become distorted. People get rewarded for failure and salaries and bonuses for senior staff have increased in many companies out of all proportion to business success. Also in some companies where pay for senior staff is…

          • MINUS ONE:REDUCE THE FONT SIZE BY 1 BEFORE PRINTING. SAVE PAPER. HELP THE FORESTS.

The world bodies, like UN, WWF, Greenpeace are trying their best to save forests. But it isn’t just world bodies alone that can achieve the goal. It needs contribution from individuals like us.

Everyone wants to save forests. But often they lack the resource, direction and time.

So here is an idea that empowers everyone to do their bit without sacrificing too much.

Presenting Minus One- A simple-to-do, one step idea that aims at reducing paper consumption. 5 million hectares of forests cover vanishes every year just to meet our everyday need for paper. A need we fulfill in a…

                • Rebuild pressure on Murdoch / BSkyB takeover while it's in news

Carrying on from the previous campaign where 38degrees members wrote to our MPs about the BSkyB takeover, the Government have forged ahead over BSkyB but have to listen again now in view of all the press attention over phone hacking by Murdoch's press. Not much time left to stop takeover.

                  • IPT (Internationial Poverty Tax)

People in third world countries are suffering as a result of extreme poverty forced upon them. But we can stop this. Just 5p a month from every British citizen can help change the lives of young children being forced to live in small shacks with no food. Think, change the world!

                      • End the Tyranny of the Wheelie Bins!

Claim back our gardens, yards & alleyways from the ridiculous numbers of wheelie bins and recycling bins. Campaign for only one bin per household for all waste, emptied weekly, and for the building new sites where the waste can be taken and sorted into recycling / landfill, which will create jobs. Stop threatening householders for putting the wrong rubbish in the wrong bins - I was outside in the cold for 30 minutes last night sorting out the recycling bins of myself and neighbours to ensure they complied and got emptied - this is crazy. Everybody I know has this…

                        • Keep all schools accountable to their communities

The Department for Education is creating a whole range of academies and free schools that will be accountable to the DfE only. Parents of the school will be consulted (one assumes) but otherwise no one else in the locality need be given any say in the job the schools are doing, nor do they need to recognise or work in partnership with other schools nearby. Schools are for people and their communities and should be an integral part of their communities. if you want a private school, fine; pay for it.
