I suggest a campaign about ...

Introduce Unconditional Basic Income (UBI) in the UK. Replace Welfare.

Let's move a step into the future. A step that would make our world a better place and solve a lot of problems like homelessness, hunger, minimum wage and employee strikes.

Introducing a (UBI) Unconditional Basic Income allows each and every UK citizen to receive a sum amount of money that allows you to live with the bare minimum without the need to go through tests of legibility.

It would become a human right to receive enough money to live on.

How nice would that be?

We all know how unfairly treated the citizens of the United Kingdom are by the Government.

We understand that our pleas for aid and help are ignored, and our voices are never heard.

Let's change that.

(If you're unsure of what UBI is, please follow this link to a video that explains what life would be like if we had UBI)

Myths of Unconditional Basic Income:

To 1
"Giving everyone a basic income is unfair to those who work."
No, it's not. Because firstly, basic income does not stop just because someone starts working, meaning those with a job receive their salary in ADDITION to their basic income. So they have a significant advantage over those who do not have a job. Secondly remember, no one will be forced to work in order to survive - NO ONE.

To 2
"How would we pay for the basic income? The money would have to come from those who earn something"
Wrong again. Everyone who spends money, does still pay taxes. In order to finance basic income we abolish the massive administration consts of i.e. means testing. Most of the current benefits will be replaced by basic income and the rich (who benefit the most from exponential growth of their wealth) will have to contribute a little more than they do now. Please don't imply the regular citizen will have any financial disadvantage, this is not true.

To 3
"People won't come to work anymore, especially for dirty jobs"
There are three ways to get a "dirty job" done:
1. improve the work environment, i.e. better pay
2. automate the job, there is a huge potential for automation
3. do it yourself

Stupid idea ! All eggs in one basket get broken when dropped. Forget this as the end product will not see any gain as we care dealing with politicians who set the rules.
