Please help our foxes
Foxes take an important role in our environment. For example, they keep the rat population under control.
Hunting associations, however, claim that there are too many foxes causing damage to poultry producers. This is why the Flemish Government has approved of a new legislation whereby fox hunting will be allowed not only during the hunting season (1st october-14th february), but the whole year through.
We think that the decisions should be based upon the advice of the biological sciences. Protective poultry fences are very efficient to prevent damage. Free fox hunting all year, on the contrary, may have severe consequences for the survival of the fox and for the very fragile ecosystem.
Please help our foxes in the Flemish region of Belgium! Tell the Flemish Government not to give permission to hunting associations for fox hunting all year through.
We have only 10 days left to stop the final decision.
Thank you for your support!
The friends of the fox.
