Boycott the Brands
They're faceless corporations, many being professional tax-dodgers. Vodafone, with a nod-and-wink from the Tories, skips £7BN in tax, HSBC, likely a cool £3BN. Tesco, other megamart chains and multinationals, exploit Jersey and other Channel island loopholes to skip VAT due - but you pay the same price as in UK, with the small print leaving you liable if the taxman comes a-knocking.
If just two company's 'tax engineering' comes close to a quarter of the planned cuts, why contribute to their bottom line any longer?
