  1. Persuading DEFRA to continue to support Rural Community Councils http://t.co/ybviXX2mWD

Please stop DEFRA from ending support to Rural Community Councils to prevent rural areas from becoming a green desert with no community life support!

Rural Community Councils are not an unaffordable luxury, they provide direct support to often isolated and disadvantaged rural communities with help to create a sense of community, campaign for local services that meet genuine needs, manage important local assets and get involved in active participation in democracy and volunteering.

    • Fight a quarry application which will devastate 470 acres of farm land

A small quarry in the Forest of Dean, in a tourist beauty spot, is now applying for a huge expansion up to 470 acres. This expansion will not only mean one farmer losing his whole farm and livelihood, two other farmers losing hundreds of acres of farmland, but will affect thirteen close properties, an AONB, two historic villages, an SSSI, Ancient Woodland and Historic monuments. It will also set a UK wide precedence for smaller buffer zones which will affect hundreds of people living near quarries. Please help us fight this one...

        • change of service providers

when a person wants to change their service provider then the present method used by TalkTalk of trying to obtain money by menaces and sending silent telephone calls, etc, to intimidate their customers should be banned and such companies loosing their licence to operate. yours Dick Carroll

            • The use of vapourizing devices should be regulated in public places

I would like to see a petition to say that vapourising devices should be treated in exactly the same way as tobacco as regards use in public buildings. I have recently sat in restaurants and pubs several times, and had to endure not only the stench of these devices while trying to eat, but also know that I am inhaling vapourised nicotine. There was a medical article on Radio 4 recently during which a doctor said that there was no direct evidence of any harm from these substances, only because they are new. She was of the opinion, however, that…

make it law that you cant take biscuits from the bottom tray until the top tray is empty, im so fed up with eating all the ones I don't like then going to the bottom tray and discovering all the best ones are already taken, this act of selfishness and greed should be banned with sever penalties for the perpetrators.

                • MP's pay rises should be linked to an average of public sector pay rises

We agree a basket of settlements to be included e.g. Police, nurses, teachers, local council workers - MPs will automatically be awarded a pay rise of the average of our basket of public sector posts. After all, we're all in this together - aren't we? I notice the Welsh Assembly Members have finally hitched up their gravy train and 17% is the figure in their trough.

                    • Stop the change of commissioning of dialysis and chemotherapy care and the downgrade to non specialised services.

There is a process taking place of changing the commissioning of dialysis from NHS England to GPs (CCGs). Dialysis would no longer come under the banner of specialised care and would become non-prescribeable. GPs are not experts in this field.
I do not believe these changes are in the interests of patients but rather they appear to be further fragmentation and watering down of important services to make eventual bidding for these services easier.

                      • The Medical Innovation Bill

Lots of cancer specialists have signed a petition in the Times against the Medical Innovation Bill which they say will harm cancer patients. Lord Satchi promotes the bill which will do away with people being able to claim compensation when medicines are trialled on them, instead of the current way of clinical trials. This seriously worries me and I'm sure hundreds of thousands would sign. Thank you for reading this

                        • Mare Nostrum migrant rescue operation in the Mediterranean

The hard pressed Italian navy should not be left to deal with hundreds of thousands of migrants in the Mediterranean alone. Our government should reverse its shameful decision to abandon these people to their fate and other European governments should all support this operation or something similar rather than leave desperate people to drown.

                          • Ban MPs outside business interests and scrap expenses

I think it's time that MPs focused on the job they were elected to do.

Today's article in the Guardian highlights just how distracted many MPs are from their elected roles.

It's time to ask, who are they really working for?

                            http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/oct/23/twenty-mps-declare-over-100000-from-second-jobs

Former ministers among those saying that they received combined £7.1m in income from outside parliament"

Aside from the distraction to their primary roles there are also massive questions around conflicts of interest:

"One of the top earners is Charles Hendry, who was until September 2012 a minister of state…

                                • Support the people on the frontline fighting crime in our communities the police officers that the government leave stranded!!

The police force is continually given bad press or blamed for every problem that comunities face these days. My campaign is actually not about the police force but actually about fighting for the people that continually put their lives on the frontline to help the fight against crime. The people that the government has left stranded as they continously cut costs leaving forces with unsafe numbers to fight crime and therefore putting people's safety at risk everytime they go to work.

A government that spends ridiculous amounts on police commissioners that do nothing but get paid £100k per year.

                                  A…

                                    • MP's PAYE or limited companies?

I'm curious about how many MP's could be avoiding the higher rate of incombe tax. by registering themselves as Limited Companies. therfor only paying 20% corporation tax instead of the upper rate of incombe tax of 40%. surely as MP's they are employed by the state. and there fore should by default be PAYE. The same rulse should apply to civil servants, but i believe they are playing the same game. It would warrant some investigation at least.

                                      • Take on the PFI companies

I suggest you float this one again - Recover Money for NHS from greedy PFI companies that underperform - I believe the climate is right for this have just watched a youtube video posted by NHA of a CH4 news item this week interviewing Robert Eyre the only one to comment on your last forum post in 2013 - this is what he said ...

'By simply enforcing the existing woeful PFI contracts strongly. the NHS will recover at least £10Million per site.
It equates to over a £Billion across all sectors ad sites and would mean less cuts in…
