The Queen took vows at her Coronation to protect our laws and the right of our parliament to govern the United Kingdom absolutely. She must, therefore, have the responsibility and ultimate right to protect this country from external powers having the righ or ability to act against the will of parliament. If she will not do this, then we might as well just become a republic since we will end up as a region of the European State with no need for a Monarch anyway.
