Sites like Gumtree, preloved etc advertise animals for sale. Many of these animals particularly dogs are from either puppy farms or backyard breeders. These people have no interest in either the health or welfare of these animals. In recent days there have been cases of dogs that have died within hours of being sold due to parvo virus. A dog that has turned aggressive shortly after being bought. Most shockingly though a dog that was offered free to good home was found dead as the owner had unwittingly rehomed it to an illegal dog fighting ring and the poor animal was used as a bait dog.

This campaign could go in hand with the fight to ban pet shops from selling live animals!
