Following the Panorama programme BBC One, Mon, 2 Apr 2012, there needs to be a thorough investigation of the service provided by companies sub-contracting to colleges and other public bodies to ensure that the apprentices are getting proper training and that the taxpayer is receiving genuine value for money.

There were good examples of apprentice training highlighted in the programme. These are the ones upon which to build.
