Organise a huge march against the Health & Social Care Bill
The only thing keeping the bill on track is Cameron's support. The Tories are terrified that this will become their Poll Tax. Let's make it that. If enough people come out on the streets, they will drop the bill like a hot coal. This march could be organised with the help of other organisations.

Everyone should start e-mailing the Labour Party and ask them to also get involved, dont forget to mention this website so that they can get incontact and start communicating for the same cause. Time Unite and speak with one voice.
Time to take action because talk is not going to do anything alone.

Lets get cracking, this coalition is mortally wounded, its lost popular support, lets get the bar stewards now.
The thought of another 3 years of these bunch of useless posh boys is frightening. A huge march of a coalition of different interests will show this coalition we dont want them and they don't represent us. -

i find most people tend to ignore things till it happens to them it is this attitude the goverment thrives on so we all need to get back our community spirit band together to stop issues before they start rather than do battle after the only answer to our problems is to be seen as a united people at the moment divide and conquer is working well for them

i have just had a taste of things changing i have been waiting for some time now for a pain management programme after repeated visits to my gp protesting about waiting time i get a phone call from the nhs stating my options 1st option wait till june or july for pain management in clatterbridge or arrowe park hospitals 2nd option go to murray private hospital appointment within 2 weeks but will be seeing same consultant at private hospital this is why consultant waiting lists are so long because they are seeing to privates first my gp stated he got me in on a pick and choose because of my protesting i do not agree with nhs patients having to wait whilst consultants make money in private healthcare and then we get them when they are ready to make more money out of nhs my point in writing this is people pressure your gp over waiting lists who knows some of them may come out if we get this march going hey anonymous we need to get leaflets out to the cities to get this march going i live in liverpool all areas need to move at the same time not just london

May I comment on the "choreography". There's been choreography over a much longer time scale of 30 years. The 1st step was to silence the doctors & nurses with the data protection act when they introduced trusts. From that point onwards whichever government was in power it completely ignored concerns expressed through the GMC etc. It's been as if they been trying to push for a mass resignation from the NHS Doctors & nurses have honestly hung on in there like grim death to preserve it. If they say anything & it goes public they get the sack!! That's why you haven't heard from them.
This isn't a party political issue at all it goes across all parties, Labour just as much as Tories.
The unions are worried about living standards of their workers, the public are scared of terrorism during the Olympics.
I think the government have outwitted us. We didn't move fast enough - & didn't manage to inform the public of what was happening. -

a huge march is a brilliant idea not only does it send a clear message people who may have fell by the wayside may be uplifted enough to join in as well it is so easy to fall into the (ah well it will happen no matter what say bracket) this is exactly how they want you to be a march denys them that pleasure

you only have to watch government debates on tele to realise they are a bunch of rich brats running around causing chaos calling each other names i tell my children to grow up when they act like that the bills are pulled out of crackers presented to them at the weekly mansion parties where they pat each other on the back and lie to themselves that the country needs them well the time is coming mr cameron for you and your like to realise this is our country not your own personal piggie bank if i performed my job as you do i would get the sack why should you be any different

What seemed so chilling was the "choreography" of it all, smoothly going forward no matter what. Selling off cottage hospitals, buttering up GPs etc and all the while unfortunately the medical establishment presumably did not realise quite the scale of the deception and kept trying to have sane discussions with Lansley, the used car salesman. Seems like there is no justification anyway as it is not likely to save the nation any money by privatisation. Teachers obvously have got wind of this kind of government strategy now, and at the very least their planned strikes will offer an opportunity for others to join in on other issues of public sector survival. I think 38 degrees cannot lead on marches etc as it is non party political. I did wonder if there is any mileage in mass complaining via the health ombudsman that we are not getting the health service we were promised before the election.

Carl, what people could do through 38degrees is organise a collection & ask for donations to help finance stalls in high streets, outside train & bus stations, hospitals, concerts, olympics, football clubs, bars and any other places/areas that many people use on a regular basis and spread the word to educate people what has happened. In the mean time someone with influence like 38degrees should be contacting unions and other interested party's to organise such a march.
The tories were so clever with this because they always promised before and during the election campaign no root and branch changes to the nhs if the tories get into Downing Street, also they would only financially ring fence and protect the nhs. The nhs was not even part of or in the the tory manifesto so the electorate could safely believe the tories promise. Cameron and company lied to and conned the entire population of the United Kingdom. That is Fraud and outright deceit.
The Tories should not get away with this without the biggest fight in history because they have lied to every single person in this country and they cannot be seen to be laughing at all of us.

From reading a few of the comments i get the impression you think that the majority of the population actually know whats happening. It saddens me to tell you this but the majority do not and will not know until their first Healthare bill drops on the doormat. We need to tell the public whats happening as one thing i know for sure the media and govt will not.
Use social media to tell everyone you know whats happening then tell them to pass it on so everyone knows.
I tweet stupid amounts and post on Facebook everything i know about the NHS either no one cares or no one is lstening!
We have to SHOUT about this to be heard over the political spin of pasty's,fuel and whatever other minor problem the govt can make huge to cover their tracks.
