Should the operational strategy which is out for public consultation and forms part of the corporate plan be approved what will it mean for you? The view in individual boroughs varies but the figures as a whole can make alarming reading, these calculations are from data contained in the corporate plan document.
The headline figures are;
11% day time cut in fire engines.
15% night time cut in fire engines.
69% more one fire engine stations due to standing down of appliances, this will reduce resilience.
57% of wards will have to wait longer for a fire engine.
22% of the very high risk wards will have to wait longer for a fire engine.
50% of the high risk wards will have to wait longer for a fire engine.
