In times of austerity it is important that we the consumers can make smarter choices when making purchases to optimise the amount of revenue that is then passed onto HMRC. To that end I would like to see all commercial premises, advertisements and websites to be compelled by law to clearly display what country the company's owners are registered to pay tax in and what percentage of their annual turnover was paid in taxes to HRMC in the previous tax year.
