Abolish vat on food
I suggest a campaign to zero rate value added tax (vat) on all food .This tax reduction could be offset by a rise in vat over luxury goods priced over £8500 or maybe a rise in income tax ? I suggest this campaign ac a contribution to the governments debate on "fairness".

Silly me should have done research .
However there seems to be quite a few articles suggesting that the government is considering putting vat on food up to 5%. -

"Ac" should read "as a contribution" and the figure of £8500 is picked out of thin air ! Any suggestions of a more realistic figure welcome.......this would be a campaign to focus the publics mind on the "fairness" of government policy.
