I suggest a campaign about ...

english parliament

England is continually disadvantaged by the current political arangement inside the UK. English people lose out in Health, transport, education and many other spheres because there is no English parliament. English MPs do not speak for England, they represent the views of the British Union. Demand equality with the other countries in Britain and campaign for an English parliament now.

This needs to be done. Stop the English being a minority in their own country. Listen to us, please. Let us have a voice instead of keep hushing us up.

"Am digusted that so far only 449 votes. WAKE UP-SIGN UP"

^ I am in agreement, however the whole thing seems to be split up and far fragmented to do anything. A similar poll campaigning for an English Parliament has over 1,220 votes and would be 1,600 if only they were together. I've also read a million people are signed up here so yes, why are you people not voting!?

For anyone who's interested check out http://www.thecep.org.uk/ They seem to be the leading people in this quest. I'm not affiliated with them but I'm showing my support.

How shocking that this governments `leader` says that he would not wish to be a prime minister of ENGLAND. This is racism! If this attitude is continued this chap must be removed and sent back to where `auntie` has her estate behind that well built wall (with the rest of them of course)
An English Parliament for ENGLAND is a must. Vote ENGLISH DEMOCRATS for an English Parliament.
We have to fight for our future and for our English children.

Totally agree John. I also raised this issue as a campaign idea, before I did a search and found this suggestion- but hopefully multiple entries regarding the need for an English Parliament won't harm the cause.

the sooner England is independent from this corrupt Celtic Confederate conspiracy the better. The pernicious governments of Britain & the EU are racists too who are guilty of ethnically cleansing by attempting to de-Anglocise England and Culturally Eradicating all things English. My nationality is NOT European, It is NOT British. MY NATIONALITY IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE ENGLISH

Well John, as far as I am aware, you do not run the world YET.
In a democracy it should be up to the people to decide the government that they want.
This campaign aims to do just that. To give the people of ENGLAND an oportunity to decide their future for themselves. Instead of trolling on here you should start your own campaign to deny the ENGLISH a say in their future, let's see how many votes you get.

Since you ask, it's Earth 21st century, and I live in a rather complex society that took centuries to build and which has its problems but can be great fun too.

Seriously though, the type of nationalism to which this cause appeals is so dangerous and could take us back to an ugly political set-up belonging to the dark ages and with nationalistic animosities to match.

        John,
Which planet have you come from- or is it just wonderland complete with fairies. Come into the real world. We, the ENGLISH Nation are not asking for our own Parliament we are demanding it! We are demanding equality with the other three forming this (dis) united kingdom. Our culture is less brash and vulgar and certainly more tollerant than the rest of this uk.. I am more convinced than ever after reading your blurp. And as a PROUD ENGLISHMAN We demand that we have our own Parliament-like the rest them. You say "nationalism is not nice" ! Tell that to the rest of this disunited kindom! A break up of this politcal setup would be the best solution and bring it back (or forward) as the case maybe to where loyalty
to England,, before the treacherous sewup with the scots at the beginning of the 18th centuary. AN ENGLISH PARLIAMENT FOR THE ENGLISH-YES .Log onto the governments e-petitions and vote

I am not for this proposal.

I deplore, in fact, the break up of the UK and this proposal will further that aim. I am not a nationalist and refuse to be pushed into that cul-de-sac by Scottish, Welsh, English and if I may include them Irish Nationalists. Nationalists maybe nice people as individuals, but nationalism is not nice.

Nationalism has to have an enemy whom to blame for the travails of the xxxxx people whoever they are. The National Socialists of 1930's Germany blamed the Jews; Scottish Nationalists blame the English. Irish Nationalists blame the 'British'. They do! Try listening to them. You know, I even heard a Scottish Nationalist MSP on a Newsnight special a few weeks ago in a joking aside blame the GFC on English bankers. The Nazi's said the same thing about the Jews and the 1920's financial crisis in Germany.

I beg all of those thinking of supporting this idea not to do so. It is dangerous and plays the nationalists game.

The question we should all ask is why?

In the name of fairness and equality alone, something that the British establishment have rammed down all our throats for the last how many years in every other aspect of our lives, there is no case for us the English, not being given our own parliament back, or a say in a referendum at least. The only argument I ever hear is about all constituent members of the ‘United Kingdom’ (a bad joke in itself) are ‘stronger together’. What a nonsensical and wish washy argument that is! I hear many of my fine fellow Englishmen and women talk about the Barnett Formula and how we are the poor man of the union (which we undoubtedly are) but more important than money are our identity, culture and heritage. We are a proud nation however we have been made to feel ashamed about who we are by the British elite with their liberalist ‘we know we know what’s best’ for you rhetoric. The majority of us English feel this way but it seems only the minority are willing to do anything about it. Our career politician have no conviction to restore this once great nation to its former self, all they care about is lining their own pockets and strutting around on the global stage giving our money away and sending our brave members of the armed forces to die in a desolate wilderness in Afghanistan in the name of ‘democracy’ when we have not even got that here in England. The British establishment will not give the English a say on devolution, just as they have not, and will not give the British people a say on separating ourselves from the socialist claws of the EU because it does not suit their interests. We are tolerant, perhaps a little too much it would seem!!!
